Chapter 7 - Unbroken and Forever SovereignAt 8:30 PM, as the night sky turned into a deep indigo, the private terrace was illuminated by dozens of soft, twinkling fairy lights strung through the ancient oak trees.

Gabriel raised his champagne glass toward our table, his deep baritone echoing cleanly across the quiet grounds.

"To my sister, Madison Vance!" Gabriel toasted with deep, genuine pride. "The sovereign woman who built her kingdom out of storm, strength, and unbroken grace!"

"To Madison!" the entire terrace echoed in a warm, triumphant chorus, dozens of crystal glasses clinking together under the open sky.

Julian Sterling took my hand, guiding me out onto the center of the stone terrace under the twinkling fairy lights, sweeping my body into a smooth, effortless turn beneath the stars as the acoustic band played a slow, romantic melody.

Across the dark, sparkling blue waters of Lake Michigan, brilliant bursts of gold, sapphire, and silver fireworks exploded into the night sky, illuminating the smiling faces of our guests gathered on the lawn below.

There were no arrogant husbands leaving wedding rings on vanity tables. There were no fake texts accusing me of being suffocating. There were no tears swallowed in quiet, rainy penthouses.

The quiet, desperate wife was dead forever. The sovereign queen had claimed her throne.

And standing under the vast, unbroken sky, wrapped in the warm embrace of a man who revered every inch of my body and soul, holding my head high, I knew that my life, my heart, and my future were finally, beautifully, and forever free.
