Chapter 3 - The Video of ShameThe central projector screen lit up, filling the boardroom with crystal-clear audio and video recorded three nights earlier behind the deserted shopping center.

The video was the exact high-definition file recovered from Emma Whitmore’s private cloud storage—a video she had recorded on her phone while her brother beat me unconscious.
The room echoed with the chilling sound of Emma’s laughing voice:
"Look at you, Tessa! You thought marrying my brother made you special? You're NOTHING!"
Followed by Patricia’s cold, unyielding response:
"You should've learned your place."
And Nolan’s dark, sneering face in the rearview mirror as he drove toward the alleyway:
"Try not to freeze to death, Tessa."
The board members stared at the screen in total, speech-bound horror. Two female directors gasped, covering their mouths, while the primary bank representative immediately stood up and packed his briefcase.
Nolan’s knees buckled. He stumbled backward against the mahogany table, his eyes bulging out of his head as sweat poured down his neck, soaking his designer shirt collar.
"No... no... how did you get that file?!" Emma shrieked frantically, falling onto her hands and knees on the carpet. "I deleted that video! I wiped my cloud storage!"
"You deleted the local cache, Miss Whitmore," Bridget Colton explained with a cold, razor-sharp smile. "You forgot that your phone automatically synced to the household server—the server Tessa built and managed for seven years."
Patricia thrashed on the floorboards, screaming hysterically as two marshals forced her arms behind her back. "BALDERDASH! THIS IS A SET-UP! MY SON BUILT THIS EMPIRE!"
"Your son didn't build an empire, Patricia," Detective Voss corrected deadpan, pulling three pairs of heavy steel handcuffs from his tactical belt. "He built a criminal enterprise using stolen money."

The steel cuffs locked tightly around Nolan, Patricia, and Emma’s wrists behind their dark designer clothes.
They were forced out through the central aisle in total, public disgrace, surrounded by news cameras that had gathered in the lobby downstairs, their names permanently erased from Chicago’s business elite.
