Chapter 7 - The True RoyaltyOne year later.

The summer sun shone brilliantly over the coastal gardens of my Greenwich estate. The blue waters of Long Island Sound sparkled in the background as soft classical music drifted across the lawn.

Over two hundred guests—business leaders, charity organizers, and community members—gathered under a large white pavilion for the annual launch of the Miller-Walker Humanitarian Foundation, an organization dedicated to protecting orphaned children and supporting international legal aid.

In the center of the lawn, fifteen-year-old Mason was showing Tyler how to throw a football, while eight-year-old Emma was sitting at a tea table with my mother, both of them laughing happily.

I stood on the stone patio, holding a glass of sparkling water, watching my family.

A pair of soft hands wrapped around my waist from behind, and a gentle head rested against my back.

I turned around, pulling Grace into my arms. She looked breathtaking in a white linen sun dress, her skin glowing with health, peace, and absolute happiness.

"What are you thinking about, CEO?" she teased softly, looking up at me with her bright dark eyes.

"I was thinking about the night we got married," I smiled, tracing a gentle thumb along her cheek. "When you stood near the window in my room, shaking, thinking I would turn you away."

Grace smiled, a soft, beautiful sound escaping her lips. "I was so terrified you would look at me the way everyone else did. I thought you would see a woman carrying too much baggage, too much danger, and too many secrets."

"I saw the bravest woman I’ve ever known," I whispered, leaning down to press my lips gently against hers.

"You saved us, Ethan," Grace murmured against my lips. "You gave my brothers a home. You gave my sister a future. You gave me a reason to stop fighting and finally rest."

"You saved me first, Grace," I reminded her, holding her close against my chest. "When I was alone in that hospital bed, surrounded by people who only cared about my money, you stayed. You prayed for me when nobody was watching."

We stood together on the patio, watching our brothers and sister play on the lawn as the sun began to set over the water, painting the sky in shades of gold, rose, and brilliant crimson.

The world had looked at a quiet housekeeper and seen a scandal.

I had looked at her and found my queen.

And as I held my wife in the warm summer breeze, I knew that no matter what storms the world might bring, our castle was built on a love that nothing could ever break.
