Chapter 3 - The Assembly at the Marble HallAt 10:00 AM the following morning, the soaring mahogany assembly hall of the New York Financial Center on Wall Street was packed to absolute capacity.

Over four hundred prominent real estate magnates, shipping executives, municipal officials, and syndicate capos gathered beneath sparkling crystal chandeliers.
Sitting at the head of the raised executive table, wearing a dark red designer gown, her diamond necklace glittering under the spotlights, was sixty-two-year-old Evelyn Moretti. Beside her sat her arrogant son, Julian Moretti, smirking as they prepared to sign the corporate merger papers that would absorb Isabella’s stolen trust into their proxy shell.
"Gentlemen!" Evelyn announced smoothly into her microphone, her voice dripping with aristocratic deceit, "today we finalize the acquisition of the South Manhattan Commercial Docks—"
BOOM!
The heavy double mahogany entrance doors of the grand ballroom were thrown open with a violent, hydraulic impact!
The chatter of four hundred high-society guests vanished into an absolute, speech-bound silence.
Walking down the central red carpet, flanked by Chief Security Director Marcus Vance and four armed federal marshals, was Dante Moretti.
He wore a crisp charcoal bespoke suit, his broad frame squared, radiating an untouchable, sovereign authority that dropped the room's temperature to absolute zero.
And walking right beside him... was me.
I wore a breathtaking floor-length dark emerald silk gown that celebrated my tall, graceful figure. My dark hair fell in glossy waves over my shoulders, my hazel eyes burning with absolute, unshakeable victory, inner peace, and sovereign grace.
Walking beside my heels, without a leash, his midnight coat gleaming under the chandeliers, his amber eyes fixed on the executive stage, was Orion.
Evelyn Moretti dropped her champagne glass.
CRASH!
The crystal glass shattered flat against the parquet floor, sparkling wine splashing over her designer heels. Her face went from arrogant red to an ugly, paper-white shade of green. Julian Moretti stood up so fast he knocked his chair over backwards.
"D-DANTE...?! WHO IS THAT WOMAN?!" Evelyn stammered, taking two frantic steps backward against the wall. "WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS UNLAWFUL ENTRY?!"
"The entry is legal, Evelyn," Dante announced flatly, his deep baritone carrying cleanly across the silent hall, dropping the ambient temperature to zero. "And your thirty-year theft is over."
Bridget Colton stepped forward, sliding a thick stack of court-stamped legal notices flat into Julian’s trembling hands:
TOTAL MARITIME RECOVERY: Certified enforcement of the original Bennett-Moretti Trust Deeds, transferring fifty-one percent controlling equity in the Commercial Docks directly to Chairwoman Olivia Marshall-Moretti.
THE HOMICIDE & FRAUD INDICTMENT: Federal arrest warrants served on Evelyn Moretti and Julian Moretti for First-Degree Murder (in the death of Isabella Moretti), Child Abduction, and $65 Million Wire Fraud.
SYNDICATE TERMINATION: Permanent revocation of all Moretti family proxies held by Evelyn's shell companies.
WOOF!
Orion let out a thunderous, authoritative bark that echoed off the high marble ceiling, stepping forward to plant his massive paws squarely at the base of the stage.
Lead Marshal Miller stepped forward, locking heavy steel handcuffs around Evelyn Moretti’s trembling wrists behind her back.
"Evelyn Moretti, Julian Moretti," Marshal Miller declared coldly. "You are under arrest."
