Chapter 7 - Unbroken and Forever HomeAt 8:30 PM, as the spring sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in sweeping tapestries of indigo, gold, and deep sapphire, the private terrace was illuminated by dozens of soft, twinkling fairy lights.

Enzo raised his champagne glass from the primary table, his deep voice carrying cleanly across the quiet grounds.
"To Don Julian and Donna Amelia Cross!" Enzo toasted with deep, genuine pride. "The sovereign leaders who built an empire with unbroken strength, truth, and eternal love!"
"To Julian and Amelia!" the entire terrace echoed in a warm, triumphant chorus, dozens of crystal glasses clinking together under the open sky.
Across the dark, sparkling blue waters of the Hudson River, brilliant bursts of gold, sapphire, and silver fireworks exploded into the night sky, illuminating the smiling faces of our guests gathered on the lawn below.
There were no federal operatives planting wiretaps in secret penthouses. There were no fake affairs ruining sacred vows. There were no dark secrets threatening our peace.
