Chapter 7 - Unbroken and Forever HomeAt 8:30 p.m., as the spring sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in sweeping tapestries of indigo, gold, and deep sapphire, the private terrace was illuminated by dozens of soft, twinkling fairy lights.

Seven-month-old Ethan and Eva sat happily in a double velvet stroller beside us, giggling as Gabriel held up a wooden toy sailboat he had carved for them.

I dropped onto my knees flat on the stone terrace, pulling both of my children into my broad chest, kissing their soft, chubby cheeks one by one as they patted my face with their tiny hands.

"Look at your daddy, little ones," Claire smiled radiantly, dropping onto her knees beside me, resting her hand over mine over our children's blankets. "He's right here where he belongs."

Gabriel raised his champagne glass toward our table, his deep baritone carrying cleanly across the quiet grounds.

"To Adrian, Claire, Ethan, and Eva Knox!" Gabriel toasted with deep, genuine pride. "The sovereign family who rebuilt their home with unbroken strength, truth, and eternal love!"

"To the Knox family!" the entire terrace echoed in a warm, triumphant chorus, dozens of crystal glasses clinking together under the open sky.

Across the dark, sparkling blue waters of Long Island Sound, brilliant bursts of gold, sapphire, and silver fireworks exploded into the night sky, illuminating the smiling faces of our guests gathered on the lawn below.

There were no corrupt mistresses demanding $11.8 million penthouses in South Beach. There were no empty nurseries with missing cribs. There were no twenty-eight missed calls tearing my chest apart.

The arrogant, blind billionaire was dead forever. The sovereign father had claimed his true home.

And standing under the vast, unbroken sky, wrapped in the arms of the woman who loved every inch of my body and soul, holding my son and daughter safe in my hands, I knew that my life, my heart, and my family were finally, beautifully, and forever whole.
