Chapter 3 - The Assembly at the Grand ConcourseAt 10:00 A.M. the following morning, the soaring mahogany assembly hall atop the forty-story Chicago Financial Center was packed to absolute capacity.

Over four hundred prominent technology magnates, defense directors, municipal judges, and syndicate capos gathered beneath sparkling crystal chandeliers for the annual North American Logistics & Heritage Assembly.
Sitting near the head of the raised executive table, wearing a tailored navy suit, holding a silver pen, was forty-eight-year-old Harrison Cole. Beside him sat his mistress, Madison Lane, wearing a low-cut crimson designer dress, smirking arrogance over her champagne glass as they prepared to sign corporate takeover documents to liquidate the Bennett berths.
Harrison’s face wore a practiced expression of cold, desperate authority as he addressed the audience into the microphone:
"Gentlemen!" Harrison announced smoothly, his voice trying to conceal his inner collapse, "today we ratify the administrative consolidation of the Bennett Logistics Berths into Cole Dynamics due to my wife Amelia's sudden medical absence—"
BOOM!
The heavy double oak doors of the executive assembly hall were thrown open with a violent, hydraulic impact!
The chatter of four hundred high-society guests vanished into an absolute, speech-bound silence.
Walking down the central red-carpeted aisle, flanked by Chief Security Director Marcus Vance and four armed federal marshals, was Don Vincent Bennett II.
He wore an magnificent dark charcoal bespoke suit, his broad six-foot-three frame squared, radiating an untouchable, sovereign authority that dropped the room's temperature to absolute zero.
And walking right beside him, supported by his strong arm, wearing a breathtaking floor-length dark emerald silk suit that celebrated her graceful figure, her dark hair falling in glossy waves over her shoulders, her hazel eyes burning with absolute, sovereign victory... was Donna Amelia Bennett-Cole.
Around her neck hung the fifty-carat emerald signet pendant of the Bennett Dynasty, her posture regal, her presence dominating the entire room.
Harrison Cole dropped his silver pen.
CRASH!
The heavy metal pen clattered flat against the mahogany table, rolling onto the floor as his face went from arrogant red to an ugly, paper-white shade of green. Madison Lane stood up so fast she knocked her champagne glass over onto her crimson train.
"H-HARRISON...?! VINCENT BENNETT?! AMELIA?!" Madison stammered, taking two panicked steps backward against the window. "WHAT IS THIS ILL-MANNERED INTERRUPTING?! SHE IS JUST AN ABANDONED HOUSEWIFE!"
"She isn't an abandoned housewife, Madison," Amelia Bennett-Cole announced flatly, her clear, deep baritone carrying cleanly across the silent hall, dropping the temperature to zero. "She is the Executive Chairwoman of the Bennett Heritage Trust... and the sole owner of your entire corporation."
Bridget Colton stepped forward, sliding a thick stack of court-stamped legal notices flat into Harrison Cole’s trembling hands:
TOTAL MARITIME & TECH RECOVERY: Certified federal enforcement of the Bennett Trust Deeds, transferring 100% controlling equity directly to Chairwoman Amelia Bennett-Cole, Caleb Bennett, and Grace Bennett.
ARREST WARRANTS: International arrest warrants served on Harrison Cole and Madison Lane for Premeditated Wire Fraud, Identity Theft, Extortion, and $150 Million Embezzlement.
IMMEDIATE EVICTION & ASSET FREEZE: Total forfeiture of all personal properties, luxury vehicles, and bank accounts registered under Cole Dynamics.
"THIS IS UNLAWFUL!" Harrison shrieked, thrashing wildly as two uniformed federal marshals stepped forward with heavy steel handcuffs. "AMELIA, I AM YOUR HUSBAND! I MADE A MISTAKE! YOU CAN'T SACRIFICE ME!"
"You sacrificed your own newborn twins for a trip to Napa Valley, Harrison," Amelia corrected deadpan, stepping beside her brother Vincent, wrapping her arm around his waist, leaning flush against his solid side. "Now you pay for every single tear."
