Chapter 7 - Unbroken and Forever HomeOn a clear, warm Saturday afternoon in late October 2026, the evening sun set beneath the Chicago horizon, painting the sky over Lake Michigan in sweeping tapestries of gold, rose, and deep sapphire.

Sophie and Noah ran across the manicured green lawn in their tiny soft shoes, giggling hysterically as they chased a golden retriever puppy under the warm autumn sky.
I walked out onto the stone terrace wearing a comfortable wool cardigan, holding two glasses of sunlit apple cider, stepping up beside Elise near the balustrade.
I wrapped my broad, warm arm around her waist, pulling her back flush against my solid six-foot-two frame, leaning down to press a sweet, lingering kiss against her temple.
"What are you thinking about, my love?" I whispered softly into her ear.
Elise looked out over the vast, sparkling waters of the lake stretching before us into the unbroken horizon, leaning her head comfortably back against my broad chest.
"I was thinking about a phone call at four-seventeen A.M., Grant," Elise answered softly, a radiant, beautiful smile lighting up her face. "And how a nightmare in the dark brought us straight to our true home."
I offered a soft, breathtaking smile—a look of pure, eternal love that lit up my features.
"You saved our family, Elise," I promised, pulling her and the twins—who had run up to hug our legs—into my broad, protective embrace under the autumn stars. "And I will spend the rest of my life protecting yours."
There were no arrogant assistants blocking doors in dark lobbies. There were no fake excuses or cold nights keeping their hearts from peace. There were no fears, debts, or shadows separating their lives.

The cold, isolated billionaire was dead forever. The sovereign father, Chairman, and queen had claimed their true home.
And standing under the vast, unbroken sky, wrapped safe in the arms of the woman he loved, holding his two brilliant children under the autumn sun, Grant Holloway knew that his life, his heart, and his family were finally, beautifully, and forever home.
