Chapter 3 - The Purge at the DeLuca TowerThe morning sun broke over the New York skyline, painting the fifty-story DeLuca Global Headquarters on Wall Street in brilliant shades of gold and amber.

At 9:00 AM, the grand executive boardroom on the top floor was packed to absolute capacity for an emergency assembly of the DeLuca Global Board & Midwestern Shipping Council.

Over forty prominent shipping magnates, board members, and high-ranking syndicate capos sat around the massive African mahogany table.

Sitting at the head of the table, wearing a tailored charcoal bespoke suit, was Lorenzo De Luca. His broad shoulders were squared, his severe face radiating an unshakeable, sovereign authority.

Beside him sat my mother, Isabella Wilson—wearing an elegant navy silk gown, her hair styled in glossy silver waves, her posture dignified and queenly.

And sitting on Lorenzo's right, wearing a breathtaking floor-length dark emerald silk evening gown that celebrated my tall, graceful figure, holding the silver rose pendant openly against my chest, was me.

Standing at the side doors were six armed federal marshals holding heavy legal files.

Arthur Vance sat at the far end of the table in handcuffs, guarded by two officers, his face gaunt, hollowed out by twelve hours of federal interrogation.

"Gentlemen," Lorenzo announced, his deep baritone carrying cleanly through the hushed boardroom. "For twenty years, Arthur Vance sat in this company as Chief Security Officer, claiming my father's murder was committed by foreign rivals. Today, we review the truth."

Marcus Vance tapped a tablet screen, projecting high-definition forensic records, bank transfer logs, and security video footage onto the boardroom's forty-foot displays:

THE ASSASSINATION PROOF: Certified ballistics and recorded confessions proving Arthur Vance executed Don Carmine DeLuca in 2006.

THE CAPTIVITY RECORDINGS: Subterranean security feeds showing Arthur keeping Isabella Wilson locked in the east wing vault to extort European shipping accounts.

THE SOVEREIGN RATIFICATION: Formal legal execution transferring fifty percent of all voting shares in DeLuca Global directly to Emma Wilson-DeLuca as the sole legitimate heir.

The forty board members and capos stood up in pure outrage, pointing fingers at Arthur Vance, completely severing all ties with his faction on the spot.

Lead Marshal Miller stepped forward, holding heavy steel enforcement notices.

"Arthur Vance," Marshal Miller declared coldly. "You are being transferred to a federal maximum-security facility to await trial for First-Degree Murder, Aggravated Kidnapping, and Systemic Racketeering."

Arthur thrashed and wept hysterical, pathetic pleas as marshals dragged him out of the DeLuca Tower in total, public disgrace, surrounded by news cameras capturing his downfall for the evening news.
