“You’re isolated,” Vance sneered. “Your guards at the gate are already neutralized. You have no backup.”
“You’re right,” Vincent agreed calmly. “I don't have backup.”

Suddenly, the heavy oak doors clicked shut. Renzo and twelve elite enforcers stepped out from the shadows, their shotguns raised.
In a lightning-fast motion, Vincent grabbed Vance by the silk tie and slammed him against the bookshelf, his voice vibrating with a primal fury. “You threatened my family. You brought weapons into my home where an innocent child was playing.”
