Chapter 6 - The Sanctuary on Star IslandFour months after the afternoon at Coral Gables, the warm autumn sun broke warmly over the sparkling turquoise waters of Biscayne Bay.

The wedding of Dante Cole and Grace Miller took place on the oceanfront terrace of our Star Island estate.
It was not a massive, political spectacle designed for high-society cameras or corporate newspapers. It was an intimate, breathtaking gathering of fifty close friends, loyal family members, estate staff, and my key operational directors.
The stone terrace was transformed into a sunlit paradise—blooming white orchids, tropical greenery, and white silk drapes framing the open horizon of the ocean.
Standing at the front of the terrace under a canopy of white roses, wearing an immaculate black tuxedo, my gray eyes fixed entirely on the marble aisle, was me.
Beside me, wearing a small matching dark tuxedo, holding a velvet ring pillow with proud, beaming joy, was four-year-old Noah.
The soft string quartet began playing a gentle, soaring melody.
The heavy mahogany doors opened.
Walking down the marble aisle, wearing a breathtaking, floor-length ivory silk dress that caught the Miami sunlight like liquid gold, holding a bouquet of fresh white peonies, was Grace.
Her dark hair was styled in soft, glossy waves, her hazel eyes shining with a radiant, weightless joy that lit up the entire island. The purple bruise on her cheek had long since vanished, replaced by smooth, glowing skin.
When Noah saw her walk toward us, he couldn't contain his excitement.
"Mama Grace!" Noah shouted happily, taking two small steps forward on the marble floor, waving his little hands.
The entire audience let out a collective, warm laugh.
Grace smiled through tears of pure happiness, holding her chin high, walking straight toward us until she stood before me under the sunlit arch.
I took her soft, warm hands into my broad palms, looking deep into her hazel eyes—seeing my life, my peace, and my eternal sanctuary reflected in her gaze.
The priest stood before us, his baritone carrying smooth and warm across the quiet bay:
"Do you, Dante Cole, take Grace Miller to be your wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, until death do you part?"
I held her hands tight, unshakeable, and absolute.
"I do," I swore, my voice ringing clean, strong, and unbroken across the water. "With every breath in my body, forever."
"And do you, Grace Miller, take Dante Cole to be your wedded husband?"
"I do," Grace wept happily, her radiant smile filling my entire soul with warmth.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife!"

I didn't wait. I pulled Grace into my arms, lifting her slightly off her feet as my lips met hers in a deep, sweet, passionate kiss that sealed our promise under the warm Miami sky.
Noah jumped up and down, wrapping his small arms around both our legs, giggling uncontrollably as I picked him up in my free arm, pulling both my wife and my son tight against my heart.
