Chapter 7 - Unbroken and Forever HomePatricia Holloway raised her champagne glass from the primary table, her clear, strong baritone carrying cleanly across the quiet grounds.

"To Chairwoman Claire Bennett!" Patricia toasted with deep, genuine pride. "The sovereign woman who broke the dark, conquered the storm, and claimed her true home!"

"To Claire!" the entire terrace echoed in a warm, triumphant chorus, dozens of crystal glasses clinking together under the open sky.

Across the dark, sparkling blue waters of Lake Michigan, the evening sun set beneath the horizon, painting the sky in sweeping tapestries of gold, rose, and deep sapphire.

There were no arrogant husbands making cold excuses over voice messages. There were no fake mistresses hiding in forty-third-floor penthouses. There were no tears, debts, or dark shadows keeping her heart from peace.

The quiet, neglected wife was dead forever. The sovereign Chairwoman, matriarch, and queen had claimed her true home.

And standing under the vast, unbroken sky, wrapped safe in the arms of the man who loved her, watching the sun set over the ocean, Claire Bennett knew that her life, her heart, and her family were finally, beautifully, and forever home.
