Chapter 5 - The Dismantling of Frank VanceThe two lieutenants on the left—broad, heavy-set enforcers wearing leather jackets—stepped forward, pulling heavy iron crowbars from the tool racks near the lifts.

The first enforcer swung the iron bar in a lethal horizontal arc aimed straight at my collarbone.
I didn't step back. I ducked beneath the heavy iron, my left arm flashing out to trap his wrist against my chest while my right palm struck his jawline in a devastating open-hand thrust.
CRACK!
His teeth shattered instantly, his eyes rolling back as his limp body crashed flat against the concrete floor.
The second enforcer raised his crowbar, but before he could swing, I closed the distance, trapping his arm, grabbing his throat with my thumb and index finger in a throat-larynx clamp.
GASP!
He dropped the crowbar, clutching his throat, sinking to his knees in pure, suffocating agony.
Frank Vance’s jaw sagged open in total, horror-stricken shock. He raised his revolver, his hand trembling violently as he tried to align his sights with my chest.
"DON'T MOVE!" Frank screamed, sweat pouring down his forehead. "I'LL BLOW YOUR CHEST OPEN!"
I didn't stop walking. I took three slow, deliberate steps toward him, my gray eyes locked onto his face with cold, absolute finality.
"You told my daughter that if she left Dustin, your people would come after my wife and me," I said softly, every word dropped like an iron weight into the room.
Frank's trigger finger began to tremble. "Stay back! I swear to God I'll shoot!"
When an untrained shooter panics, their barrel invariably drops two inches right before they squeeze the trigger.
The moment his wrist dipped, I ducked my shoulder left, my right hand shooting forward like a strike of lightning, grabbing the cylinder of the revolver, preventing the hammer from dropping.
CLICK!
The firing pin struck harmlessly against the jammed cylinder.
Before Frank could process what had happened, I twisted his wrist outward with a heavy wrist-lock technique, forcing the bone to pop out of alignment with a sharp SNAP!
Frank let out an agonizing, high-pitched shriek, dropping the revolver onto the concrete floor.
I grabbed him by his gold chain, lifting his broad frame off his feet, slamming his spine flat against the hood of the vintage Cadillac.
The remaining three gang members stood near the card table, their guns half-drawn, freezing in complete, unadulterated terror as they looked at their boss pinned helpless under my hand.

"Drop your weapons," I commanded softly without looking at them.
The three men dropped their guns onto the green felt table instantly, raising their hands high in total surrender.
