Chapter 4 - The Corporate ExecutionThe executive boardroom on the forty-second floor of Vale Holdings was a temple of corporate excess. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls overlooked the bustling Dallas financial district, and a massive mahogany conference table dominated the center of the room.

At 8:58 AM, the remaining six members of the board of directors sat in uncomfortable silence. They had received emergency summonses at midnight, informing them that their majority shareholder had been arrested by federal marshals and that an emergency ownership restructuring was underway.
The heavy double doors swung open at exactly 9:00 AM.
I walked into the room, flanked by two of my father’s legal strategists and Marcus Vance. I wasn't wearing the blood-stained clothes of the night before. I wore a tailored, midnight-blue Chanel pantsuit, my hair swept up into a sharp, flawless chignon, and a pair of dark designer sunglasses shielding my eyes from the harsh morning glare.
I walked straight to the head of the table—the seat Adrian had occupied for three years—and pulled out the executive chair.
Richard Sterling, the senior vice president of operations and one of Adrian’s closest allies on the board, slammed his hands onto the mahogany table and stood up.
"Hold on just a minute!" Richard barked, his face flushing red with anger. "What is the meaning of this? You have no right to walk in here and take the chair! Adrian is CEO, and until the courts sort out his personal mess, this board runs the company!"
I slowly slid off my sunglasses, resting them on the polished wood, and looked directly into Richard’s eyes.
"Adrian’s personal mess, Richard?" I asked, my voice ringing clear and steady across the silent room. "Let's review what that personal mess entails, shall we?"
Marcus Vance stepped forward, opening his briefcase and slamming six identical manila folders onto the table in front of each board member.
"Look at page four of the forensic audit," Marcus instructed coldly.
The directors hesitatingly opened the folders. Within seconds, color drained from their faces.
"You... you all signed off on the phantom consulting invoices funneled to Vanessa’s shell company," I continued, leaning forward, resting my palms on the table. "You accepted kickbacks ranging from fifty thousand to two hundred thousand dollars per quarter, disguising them as operational overhead. Under federal RICO statutes, that doesn't just make Adrian a criminal. It makes every single one of you an active participant in an organized racketeering conspiracy."
Richard stumbled backward, his knees hitting his chair as he sank down in sheer disbelief. "That's... that's impossible. Those records were encrypted—"
"Everything your little cabal touched was decrypted by my father’s intelligence unit forty-eight hours ago," I interrupted smoothly. "Now, you have two choices. You can either sign the voluntary resignation and asset forfeiture agreements sitting on page twelve of those folders, allowing us to restructure this company quietly... or my father can hand the entire evidentiary package directly to the federal grand jury convening across the street at ten o'clock."
Silence descended upon the room. A heavy, suffocating silence.

One by one, trembling hands reached for pens. Within three minutes, all six directors had signed away their shares, their positions, and their fraudulent immunity.
"Effective immediately," I said, standing up and buttoning my jacket, "Vale Holdings is dissolved and absorbed into Sterling Global Assets. This building now belongs to my father. You have twenty minutes to clear your desks before security escorts you out."
